Fashion has always been emotional, but it’s also deeply financial.
Every outfit in your closet holds stories, but it also holds value.
Over the last three months, we’ve been quietly beta testing the SWRL app with a small group of early adopters across Delhi NCR. The feedback, love, and curiosity we’ve received have been beyond what we imagined. From discovering new styles to earning from their wardrobe, they’re already proving that fashion can be both smart and sustainable.
At SWRL, we’re reimagining how fashion and finance coexist not through overconsumption, but through connection, circulation, and community.
Because when you rent, lend, or resell fashion, you’re not just participating in a trend, you’re building a better relationship with style, sustainability, and money.
Here’s what we’ve learned from our early users and growing community:
Money: Renting on SWRL is often just 10–15% of the retail price, while lending helps users earn back up to 80% of what they originally spent (or more), turning their wardrobes into assets. During beta, our early lenders collectively earned ₹1.6 lakhs just by sharing their closets with other women.
Experiment: That sequin dress you thought you’d never wear? SWRL lets you try new styles guilt-free fashion freedom without the commitment or the cost. On average, users rented items they’d only have worn once otherwise, helping each piece find new life multiple times over.
Sisterhood: Every rental sparks a story. You connect with stylish, like-minded women who share not just their wardrobes, but their worlds. In just 90 days of testing, our community made over 60 successful swrls (rentals and resells) and saved an estimated ₹2.8 lakhs collectively by renting instead of buying new.
Space: The world produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste every year, and India receives a significant share of it. SWRL gives your clothes a second life, helping you declutter consciously, save space, and reduce waste in the process.
With 60+ verified designer brands already listed, from homegrown labels to international names, and a lot more styles being shared, renting and reselling are fast becoming the new language of Indian fashion.
”The global online clothing rental market is projected to grow from around USD 2.60 billion in 2025 to USD 6.40 billion by 2035. India in particular, is expected to record the fastest growth among regions.” (Future markets insight)

So next time you’re tempted to buy something you’ll wear once, try SWRLing your fit instead.
You’ll look good, feel good, and your wallet will thank you, too.
