Meet the SWRL team: Shrishti Dalmia

Meet Shrishti Dalmia, Marketing & Communications Intern at SWRL 💌

Every team has that one person who’s always dropping 2 A.M. thoughts, half-scribbled ideas, or random notes that somehow turn into something real; that’s Shrishti. As the marketing intern, she helps shape how SWRL shows up in the world, from small creative details to the bigger picture of what the brand stands for. Thoughtful, curious, and quietly passionate, she brings her love for fashion and storytelling into everything she works on. From finding her way to SWRL to dreaming up what’s next, here’s a little glimpse into her story.

How did your journey bring you to SWRL?

“Every time I opened LinkedIn, someone had some crazy new work to share or was celebrating a new opportunity. Sick of feeling sad for myself, I was frantically searching everywhere for something that actually aligned with my long-term goals. Lo and behold, I came across Taneesha’s post looking for someone in marketing. A quick chat with her, about all things fashion, marketing, and somehow the stock market, and I was sold.

Yes, it started as just finding an internship, specifically in fashion. But now that I’m part of the behind-the-scenes? Oh, it’s so much more than that. It feels deeply personal when an idea we discussed goes live, or a piece of content shows up on my feed. SWRL is truly for the girls, and I’m so grateful I get to help build it.”

A quote she lives by

“While I breathe, I hope.”
I live by this: to stay hopeful, no matter how uncertain things feel. When I discovered SWRL, it felt like exactly that, hope taking shape. It was finally a step toward the life 15-year-old me had dreamt about after watching The Devil Wears Prada.
The idea behind SWRL — recycling, renting, and reselling — it’s proof that there’s hope after all, not just for our wardrobes, but for the planet. “

Meet the SWRL team: Shravya Verma

Meet Shravya Verma, Graphic Designer at SWRL 💌

If SWRL had a visual soul, she’s the one shaping it. From the dreamy aesthetics on our instagram feed to the sleek layouts on our website, Shravya is the reason everything at SWRL looks this effortlessly chic.

She’s the mind behind our visuals, edits, and designs, the one who turns every idea into something scroll-stoppingly beautiful. We sat down with her to talk about her journey, what fuels her creativity, and her favourite pieces on SWRL right now.

How did your journey bring you to SWRL?
“
I came across SWRL while exploring platforms that make sustainable fashion more accessible and fun. I loved how SWRL blends community with conscious shopping; it’s not just about renting, but about rethinking consumption together. The mix of fashion, sustainability, and creativity instantly resonated with me.”

A quote she lives by
“Collect moments, not things.” It reminds me to focus on experiences and values rather than possessions. I’ve realised that the most fulfilling parts of life come from what we do, who we share it with, and the stories we create, not what we own.”

Here’s to Shravya, the creative heart behind our screen, proving that sustainability doesn’t just feel good, it looks good too.

The SWRL story: A love letter from the founder

I started building SWRL almost two years ago.

Back then, it was just a wild idea, something that made sense in my heart even when it didn’t on paper.
Most days, I had no roadmap. I lost direction often, doubted myself more times than I can count, and wondered if the world was even ready for something like this.

The space was so new, there was barely any advice to lean on.
But somehow, I kept going, one small step at a time.

SWRL was never meant to be just an app.
It’s a feeling. A community. A love letter to the joy of connection.

SWRL story

It’s for the girls who lend, borrow, and hype each other up in the mirror before a night out.
It’s for the dreamers who believe sustainability can look as good as luxury.
It’s for the storytellers who know every outfit carries a memory and that sharing it makes it even more special.

SWRL is India’s first C2C social fashion rental and reselling app.

A space where you can share your wardrobe, your stories, your experiences, and your cultures.
Where you can make new friends, earn and save money, and be part of a community that celebrates connection over consumption.

The dream was big, so big that not everyone understood it.
But to the few who did, I made this for you.

For the belief you had when I didn’t.
For the love that built this before it even existed.
And for the love that’s still to come.

Welcome to SWRL.
We’re just getting started.

With love,
Tanisha ♡
Founder, SWRL

The SWRL Magic: A Financial Perspective

Fashion has always been emotional, but it’s also deeply financial.
Every outfit in your closet holds stories, but it also holds value.

Over the last three months, we’ve been quietly beta testing the SWRL app with a small group of early adopters across Delhi NCR. The feedback, love, and curiosity we’ve received have been beyond what we imagined. From discovering new styles to earning from their wardrobe, they’re already proving that fashion can be both smart and sustainable.

At SWRL, we’re reimagining how fashion and finance coexist not through overconsumption, but through connection, circulation, and community.
Because when you rent, lend, or resell fashion, you’re not just participating in a trend, you’re building a better relationship with style, sustainability, and money.

Here’s what we’ve learned from our early users and growing community:

Money: Renting on SWRL is often just 10–15% of the retail price, while lending helps users earn back up to 80% of what they originally spent (or more), turning their wardrobes into assets. During beta, our early lenders collectively earned ₹1.6 lakhs just by sharing their closets with other women.

Experiment: That sequin dress you thought you’d never wear? SWRL lets you try new styles guilt-free fashion freedom without the commitment or the cost. On average, users rented items they’d only have worn once otherwise, helping each piece find new life multiple times over.

Sisterhood: Every rental sparks a story. You connect with stylish, like-minded women who share not just their wardrobes, but their worlds. In just 90 days of testing, our community made over 60 successful swrls (rentals and resells) and saved an estimated ₹2.8 lakhs collectively by renting instead of buying new.

Space: The world produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste every year, and India receives a significant share of it. SWRL gives your clothes a second life, helping you declutter consciously, save space, and reduce waste in the process.

With 60+ verified designer brands already listed, from homegrown labels to international names, and a lot more styles being shared, renting and reselling are fast becoming the new language of Indian fashion.

”The global online clothing rental market is projected to grow from around USD 2.60 billion in 2025 to USD 6.40 billion by 2035. India in particular, is expected to record the fastest growth among regions.” (Future markets insight)

SWRL financial perspective

So next time you’re tempted to buy something you’ll wear once, try SWRLing your fit instead.

You’ll look good, feel good, and your wallet will thank you, too.
